Mission of Scouting

Mission Statement

"In all of this, it is the spirit that matters. Our Scout Law and Promise, when we really put them into practice, take away all occasion for wars and strife among nations."

Robert Baden-Powell

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

It is the mission of the cubsource.org project to provide a free resource to Cub Scout Leaders, to assist with program development and to stimulate interest in Leadership and Leader Training with the goal of promoting the delivery of a quality, successful program for Cub Scouts everywhere.
