The following list of applications and "tools" are intended to be used to make the job of Cub Scout Leaders a little more manageable.

The OpenOffice application is a complete set of "office" applications including a wood processing application, a spreadsheet application and a presentation application. The OpenOffice.org suite is compatible with Microsoft operating systems, the Apple OS X series of operating systems, as well as multiple Linux operating systems.

The calender templates and meeting planning templates were originally produced using the OpenOffice writer application and are included so that they can be downloaded, used and shared among Cub Scout Leaders and meeting planners.

The Mozilla Firefox web browser application is the browsers in which the cubsource.org site was designed and tested. From the perspective of security and control, many users feel that it is superior to the other available web browsers that computer purchasers are force-fed by the provider of their operating system. If the cubsource.org site or any of the related web sites or subpages are not appearing correctly or acting in some way that seems "quirky", try Firefox, and you will see it as it was intended to be seen.
